By accessing or using Lemoria ("the Service"), operated by Lemoria ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Lemoria is a platform that enables users to create personalized books with guided writing assistance and order professionally printed copies. The Service includes:
- Guided book writing assistance
- Book editing and customization tools
- Professional printing and binding services
- Shipping and delivery of physical books
3. Account Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Be responsible for all activities under your account
- Be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU) to create an account
4. Credit System and Pricing
Our Service operates on a credit-based system:
- Credits are purchased through our platform and used to create books
- Pricing starts from €39.90 per book, depending on specifications
- Credits are non-refundable once purchased, except as required by law
- Credits never expire
- We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice
5. Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain all intellectual property rights to the content you create using our Service, including text, images, and completed books. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to:
- Store and process your content to provide the Service
- Share your content with third-party service providers (e.g., printers, AI services) as necessary
- Display excerpts or examples with your explicit permission
Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, software, trademarks, and original content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute our software or content
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
- Use our trademarks without permission
- Frame or mirror any part of the Service
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Create content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory
- Infringe on the rights of others, including intellectual property rights
- Distribute spam or malware
- Impersonate others or provide false information
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with other users' use of the Service
- Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
7. AI-Assisted Content
Our Service uses OpenAI artificial intelligence to assist with book creation. By using this feature:
- AI-generated content is provided as-is and may require your review and editing
- You are responsible for ensuring your final content is accurate and appropriate
- We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or originality of AI-assisted content
- You should verify that AI-assisted content does not infringe on third-party rights
- Your conversations with the AI are processed by OpenAI according to their data usage policies (see our Privacy Policy for details)
8. Orders and Fulfillment
When you order a printed book:
- You receive an order confirmation via email
- Production and delivery typically takes 8-15 business days
- Delivery times may vary based on your location (see Shipping Policy)
- You are responsible for providing accurate shipping information
- Risk of loss transfers to you upon delivery
9. Cancellations and Refunds

EU Right of Withdrawal - Important Notice
Under EU law, consumers typically have 14 days to cancel online purchases. However, personalized or customized goods are exempt from this right (EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(c)). Since all Lemoria books are custom-made to your exact specifications and content, orders cannot be cancelled once placed. Each book is uniquely created for you and cannot be resold.
- Orders cannot be cancelled once placed as all books are custom-made
- Refunds are provided only for defective or damaged products
- Dissatisfaction with book content is not grounds for refund
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee:
- Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- That the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- The accuracy or completeness of AI-assisted content
- That defects will be corrected
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
- Service interruptions or errors
- Third-party actions or content
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your content or books created using the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in fraudulent activity
- Pose a security risk
- Request account deletion
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your content, though order history may be retained for legal compliance.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Luxembourg, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved through:
- Good faith negotiations
- Mediation (if negotiations fail)
- Binding arbitration or courts of Luxembourg (as applicable)
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
16. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us
- Severability: If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions continue in effect
- No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent
- Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control
